Our team had the opportunity to learn how weakness can be transformed into strength and how the "opponent" becomes a partner by means of exercises from Aikido.

We were able to experience how insights from martial arts can be applied to everyday life in order to de-escalate situations.

The course leaders Robert Hiemer, social pedagogue and certified Karate (5th Dan) and Aikido (4th Dan) professional and Roberto Popp, social pedagogue and active Aikidoka (1st Dan) conveyed de-escalation methods and how in Aikido the attack of the opponent can be transformed and used positively for oneself as the attacked. Robert and Roberto have been dealing with personality development in connection with martial arts for many years and could therefore give us many good tips.
